This is something my husband talks all the time. Checking ourselves to a hotel near our house and unwinding ourselves.

But yesterday morning I showed him a staycation that was even more wonderful! We went out for our Saturday morning bagel and coffee and while returning back I asked him to park behind our local library! He was a bit hesitant! It had been raining all week and I knew the stream that runs behind it would be beautiful!

It was drizzling a bit but we walked along the stream’s path and enjoyed it’s great flow. Anyhow his comment “felt like we are in the middle of a National Park”. Yes, a staycation! The rain picked up soon and we had to come back home. Sometimes pausing ourselves in the middle of the day is a vacation!
