What strategies do you use to cope with negative feelings?

Feeling down is common for all. Remaining in that mode is not good.

For me prayers help. I read through a chapter of Sundara Kandam of Ramayanam and it really helps me. The entire Section of Sundara Kandam deals with Lord Hanuman in search of Seetha who was abducted by Ravana. He is really depressed at one point that he decides to take his own life. Then there is Seetha who decides to take her life, but both of them are directed in a wonderful way when they make these decisions. They both see good omens and energize themselves. So reading those chapters is said to give confidence to people. I love those chapters and have felt myself energized!

Then I take a brisk walk and then go about my day.

Prayers have helped me in my journey with my boy. A long 27 years it has been. People ask and talk about miracles but for me that strength is the miracle.
