Downsizing

Describe the most ambitious DIY project you’ve ever taken on.

The last weekend and this week has been a Diy project week. Not for me but for my husband! My goal was to downsize two tables to one! Get rid of both and just get a brand new one with good storage!

Thanks to a closing out shop we got a great deal! Then it was a trip to IKEA. We picked pieces for a table and came back home. My husband started assembling we found one piece was missing. We had to drive back again and even without a receipt or any question the customer service handed us the missing piece! I think they did have the extra piece as an extra inventory! We were surprised how smoothly the problem was resolved.

The old tables were cleared yesterday and the new one has been placed! As always it was time for my boy to accept and regulate himself! He still has not accepted the new place our car keys go! Let us see who wins. The past 24 hrs has been a roller coaster emotion for him 😀

Downsizing is not easy. But as I walk up the room the extra space gives so much joy! 😀

  1. Whenever we make changes it takes time to get used to them. But I feel these changes are good for us. They make us think differently.

  3. How fun it is to have a new place – but I also understand how the change can be unsettling!
