First 5k of 2025

Second year in, we joined the Cupid Chase 5k.

My special one came last with a time of 1 hour and 5 minutes, yet the organizers had the finish line tape for him to break! He climbed one too many hills and he deserved it!

The organizers gave me and my husband a medal even though we didn’t register! It was too sweet of them! They are eagerly expecting us next year too! Three years in a row! The shirt says, “available “, but it is my size 😜! My husband asked me to give to my younger one safely.

The race started with a temperature of 30 degrees farenheit but climbed above the freezing by the time it was done!

A great Saturday morning and a time well spent for a great cause.

We had rain forecast for the day and that started only around 4 pm! As we sipped our hot homemade soup we felt proud about our achievement!

    1. Thanks! Even a drop of rain would have made the race uncomfortable but it didn’t.
