A win

What would you do if you won the lottery?

My younger one informed me last week that he had won a New England Patriots Jersey last week! It was a giveaway and out of many people he had won it. He was happy. The next question he asked me was “what if I had played the lottery or gambled in a casino would I have won bigger, since I was lucky that day ?” I simply told him no! I told him, if you win something in a casino, they would see that you loose the money you won and leave the place and that it is addicting.

When we went to Las Vegas last month my family didn’t spend a dime on the slot machines. My younger one is not old enough but was more than curious. There is a reason why they have 21 as the age for gambling! The younger mind can get into addiction faster than a mature mind.

Anyhow the number of casinos on the strip are so many! By the way the parking is so comfortable, you know how many slots are still remaining im the floor! We have been to so many hospitals and it would be great if they have the same system!

For me, a lottery winning which I have written a lot of times for the same prompt can help my special boy and the charities that work for him. But I do not think that is going to happen. The happiness we get by getting something through hard work has more value than free stuff.

Of course, small things are fine, like a jersey my younger one won or a plant that I won in a bingo game many years ago. Those small things may give you a sense of happiness that is not going to make us get addicted! Anyhow my special one has a St Patricks Day bingo in March and I plan to take him. Trying some luck and winning some cool stuff would be great for the start of spring.
