Handwriting

I am a big on emphasizing handwriting. In this age of typing or printing I always feel that is a very necessary skill for everyone. Even for my son, it leads to fine motor skills. Yes, using two of your fingers and concentrating to make an alphabet does require your brain to work. I even asked my mom, to write things down.

But today, I noticed my handwriting was not looking good. I attend an online lecture that I missed last week and today I went back to Youtube to hear the same. I had written the poetry by hand (yes not printed out) and started making notes. The teacher then talked about memorizing and how good that is for our brains. Yes, I am all for that too. That is when I noticed my writing was like chicken scratches! I remember my husband once told my younger one that his handwriting was like a crow writing with it’s beaks. I laughed to myself! So the past fifteen minutes, I took some effort to sit and write the poetry by putting in some effort! As I wrote neat, I was even able to understand the material clear!

I can give my special boy as an excuse for things I do not do. But, I should start drawing the line! He was fast asleep and the time I spent extra was just five minutes 😊!

I really do hope handwriting stays! I do not want this to be something part of history for our future generations!

I really enjoy writing in my language and I am sad I do not do it often!
