Share your world: Fireworks

Written for Share Your World: 4th November 2024 by Di at Pensitivity 101.

1.  Do you like fireworks?

2.  Do you think fireworks should only be used by professionals?

3.  Do you think today’s fireworks are value for money?

4.  What is your favourite and least favourite firework?

As a kid, I loved fireworks! In India, we burst crackers that were loud and we also played with sparklers and the others similar to it. Then  all of a sudden the interest faded!

After moving to the US, and after the birth of my second kid, we started going out for First Night fireworks, fireworks at the Temple during Diwali celebrations and Forth of July celebrations. I really enjoyed these displays. Maybe certain fireworks need to be used by professionals. But many that are safe can be handled by regular people too.

I have a yard with trees and grass and I am not comfortable using fireworks in my yard. So I have not purchased any and I do not know if they are cheap or expensive.

Anyway Saturday, we had free sparklers and fireworks display at our temple and I stayed home.  Am I becoming less crazy about fireworks ? I do not know.

Gratitude: My special one loves fireworks. I am grateful for that. There are many on the spectrum who cannot handle the sight or sound.

i don’t watch fireworks anymore. As a child, I loved them and my Dad got us sparklers for our yard. Now you aren’t allowed to have them because of risk of burns!! I never got burned. Delivered by
