And it all comes to an end

We have been in India for almost three weeks! It is time to go home and back to routine.

We stayed with our parents the entire time to give a stability to my boy. It was abnormally hot here (multiple 100 degree days) and a lot of sleep issues. But my adrenaline rush and good mood resonated with my boy and we were able to manage.

I blogged almost every day and about all the day trips we made. Yes, I had immense joy doing this.

I am immensely grateful to my family who visited me. They understood my situation and came to personally meet me and my boy! Thanks for all the wonderful gifts. I was also able to meet so many of my friends. When I forwarded the selfie picture with my friends my brother commented “Finally you also put the picture “! Yes I never thought I would make a trip to India!

With a lot of work going on due to underground metro construction my shopping and traveling inside the city was limited. But let me tell you, I thoroughly enjoyed things locally! So here are a few more snapshots from Mylapore!

Road side vendors

I did use a lot of auto rickshaw services and shopped with the local road side vendors. Somehow it felt good.

We dined in for breakfast many days and we are going to miss it. Of course we did gain a lot of weight and that is something we need to work on.

Will start blogging back again when I am back home in Pittsburgh. Dreading the 24 hour travel but keeping fingers crossed.

  1. Glad you enjoyed getting back ‘home.’ India is such a wonderful country .. though the downside is always putting on weight! One visit, I put on a stone!

In three months, we will be heading back out on our 13th visit and have time scheduled for two days in Mumbai and three in Pune. We will be there for a month.

Goodness knows what weight I’ll be when I return. 😂

It’s been lovely seeing your posts on Chennai.

Safe travels back to USA, with lots of happy memories.

    😎🇮🇳
