Jet lagged

Today morning around 2 pm, me and my husband made an executive decision. We decided we would not fight our jet lag. Yes, one of the hardest part if our India trips is being jet lagged. Our boy even when the time moves forward or backward during fall and spring has a tough time. So imagine a nine and half hour difference. At 2 pm, we just started chatting as if it was 9 in the morning and we fell asleep around 4.30 am. Getting excited over something that is beyond our control is not of any use.

Not only our sleep cycle but our digestive cycle too gets affected and we cannot control or train it. Until then, just relax and enjoy the time here. It is hot and humid during the day with thunderstorms at night. Another factor my boy is not accustomed to. But he is managing. Of course he has his behaviors but nothing different than it is at home.

So what did we do yesterday? We had breakfast outside. Something that is a treat for us with South Indian filter coffee.

Then evening we went to the famous Kapaleeshwarar Temple. The best part was, we had our evening chat and ice cream at a restaurant with a Temple view.

The day ended with shopping not inside big stores but on the streets. Ganesh Chaturthi approaching Lord Ganesha is everywhere 😊. Ganesha carries an umbrella and I got an umbrella for fifty rupees which I plan to bring back home with me.

  1. When I used to travel to Seattle, the time difference was 12 hours. It took me a week to find my rhythm.
