A few days back, a wordpress prompt was what brings tears of joy?
Anyhow today morning around 3.30 am I was tearing up a little. Yes, after 9 and half years, I landed in my hometown Chennai, India with my special boy.
An A plus for my son since he exhibited lot of control. But I would also like to thank airport staff, British Airways staff in Pittsburgh and London. Every staff understood my son’s autism.
But the real golden experience was at Chennai immigration. We were gracefully taken to a counter with two staff members by an officer. The staff members quickly did the paper work. They took our situation as an opportunity and learnt what autism was. They did have a lot of questions regarding autism. With smiling faces they finished off their job and we were home within an hour.
Yes, we chose a period when school is in session throughout the world so that airport would be less congested. I think this also helped us.
I will be in India for a few weeks. I hope to blog something interesting from here😊.

My trip this time with my boy is for him to learn things while traveling. It has been months of planning. We didn’t inform anyone even though we had booked our tickets early June!
I was really happy not only my boy is learning but airport staff also learnt something about autism.
