The next few days, I would be completing my mindfulness course online. The last series was all about Buddhism. I love learning about all religions and I enjoyed my lectures. This week, I had an assignment to research about a non profit that uses mindfulness. I thought I should share about it in my blog since I found it not only interesting, but it maybe useful to other people too. https://awakenpittsburgh.org/contact/
I am really glad I could invest some time in these online courses. Yes, I had to pay a monthly subscription around 50 dollars but it was worth it. Since I paid money, I was sincere in doing the exercises.
Anyhow it was a mindful walk again today. We had promised our boy an ice cream after the walk, but his OCD made him repeat the word over and over again. But, I decided, I would just ignore him and started taking pictures. That is when I started noticing the different kind of berries on my walk.
I came home and used my app to learn all the different kinds of berries that attracted me and in a way distracted me from my son’s voice.

Some of these are edible and some are not. In fact some are used as ornamental plants. Interesting facts my app taught me.
Not only did I find berries, I found a yellow jacket and of course a bumble bee.

Did my boy get his ice cream (yes, he did become quiet after some time)? He got himself a milk shake and I did settle myself for a orange vanilla twist. Yes, I needed this after a 2 and half mile mindful walk.
