What motivates you?
Trying to appreciate myself has helped me!
Even on a day when all things go wrong, trying to do something small and claiming that victory goes a long way.
Not comparing us to anyone helps too.
My special son had an Individualized Education Plan in school and now has an Individual Service Plan. I had fought with schools many years to change goals and things inside it. But over the years, I have understood their significance. We are all individuals with our own strengths and weaknesses. Acceptance of that has helped me.
It was a laid down summer for my boy! But his Special Olympics training for long distance walking began yesterday. I was glad he transitioned into it smoothly. Gold medals are a bonus but being regular for practice, finishing the course and being with his peers are all I love about the program. Yes, participation matters for him.
I have understood the same things apply for me. I have no big goals but to keep going. So if I have a day, I am tired and I just binge watch something I take it on. Yes, almost caught up on my Grey’s Anatomy yesterday 🤭! A new day and new goals and new milestones to be reached.
Have a great day All!
