Stressed?

I wrote a few weeks back that I finished one mindfulness course. It seems there are three parts to the course, and I enrolled in the second part. The third module of the course focused on teaching me how to manage stress. Meditation is one way to handle stress, the instructor explained. Then, I was off the website for nearly a week. Unlike my first course, I went away on a long weekend. Yes, I had multiple assignments due when I came back. Yes, the assignments were meditation exercises that I had to practice. I started feeling stressed. What an irony. I took a course to get stress relief and I found the course to be stressful. Anyhow, I just changed the due date, and everything became normal.

Maybe my stress was due to my self-ego satisfaction too. I had finished one course, and I thought maybe I could do another one the same way. But life happens. My ego got destroyed, and I had to accept that I am normal. Anyhow, I have new due dates, and I hope to finish off part two maybe a week late.

We all have stress that is handed to us, and some is beyond our control. But we just add cream on top of it and make our life even more stressful. Being the caretaker of a very special person in life, I live two lives. I was told by a very good person today that I should do self-care. If I need to do that, I need to stop stressing things that are silly.

Enjoyed watching the second half of the Titanic movie without any stress. Picture taken when the Titanic exhibit came to our city.😊

  1. I’ve read a couple of your posts about mindfulness, well done on taking the course and sticking with it. I’d like to recommend a book to you that is much more about mindfulness than the title suggests: Three minutes a day …. By Richard Dixey. Simple, enjoyable, exploring each of the senses each lesson. Good luck 🙏
