Accomplishments?

The second half of this week was all about catching up after a weekend trip.

Catching up on my sleep, laundry, cleaning, and of course grocery shopping.

I loved my cat nap that I took today. It really was rejuvenating.

My house is clean and ready for the maid service. Yes, for the deep cleaning that they do, I have to clean my house before the team sets foot inside our house.😊😊😊

I enjoyed cooking all this week. That is what happens when we eat outside food for a couple of days.

I also understood I do not need a bag of chips when I am stressed out. I should just start picking up a corner and start cleaning. It is therapeutic.

My boy has severe OCD. I cannot change anything inside the house. But somehow successfully I was able to change some pictures and knicknacks around my house. It did not bother him much. Was he tired, or did it not matter much? I am still debating. Anyway, enjoying my small victory.

Indian stores sell sugar cane juice. I tried a cup today. I loved it. It has been years since I had one. On the other hand, my boy did not like it. Maybe he did not like the ginger taste in it? Something I can enjoy without him hovering on me.

I was asked yesterday if I would be rooting for the USA or India in the Olympics. Oh, I would root for all the athletes. I know the hard work that goes into it. We have a swimmer from our community participating in a 200-meter breaststroke. He was my younger son’s senior in school and club swimming. So this is exciting.

My sunroom table is full of craft materials. The next few weeks would be spent on making some craft work for my Navaratri golu.

It looked as if I stayed home and did nothing this week. But when I started making bullet points, I felt I had accomplished things. Yes, even having a catnap is an accomplishment.

An old toy! Debating as to keep or donate. Too many sentiments attached to it 😀

  2. Cleaning the house before it will be cleaned seems a waste of effort on your part.

    1. Ha! They do not pick up stuff on the floor or arrange things. They just do deep cleaning. Many do not call maid service since the work we need to do before is more 😊!
