IOWA

Today we successfully completed visiting the 37th state. Yes, out of 50 states we have been to 37 states. We crossed the border from Illinois and entered into Iowa and achieved this huge feat😊!

My husband asked me what are you going to do if you tick  off all 50 states in your list. I said maybe we can start doing countries. Who knows? We may do that. We have all the right to dream.

My friend asked what is there to see in Iowa. Google had plenty of answers and that is what we saw in Iowa.

Our entire route had a flood warning!

We saw Mississippi in New Orleans last December. Now here we are seeing the same in the North. Nature is beautiful and there is plenty to enjoy 😊 even on a very short trip.

    I would love to see a tornado in the mid west – one that passes only in empty places, and does no harm to properties or lives obviously 🙂

      My husband was pointing us to different clouds and kept telling us that it was a tornado formation 😂!

    Since you drove on 88 from Chicago, you drove about 1.5 miles from the farm I grew up on. Plus you drove about 2 miles from the farm I moved to after I lived in California. Visiting all 50 states is a great goal. I have been to all the contiguous 48 states. I went into Kaneohe Bay in Hawaii but was not allowed off the ship, so I don’t count that one.

    I really like the northern Illinois farmland. It was so fertile that if you accidently drop a seed, it will grow!

      We have visted all the states in Eastern time zone. Some in mid west.
