Youghiogheny River Trail and Youngstown

Our family frequents a state park, Ohiopyle State Park. The Youghiogheny River Trail has 27 miles of trail in the park. It is part of the Greater Allegheny Passage, which connects Pittsburgh and Maryland. The past few summers, we have hiked bits and pieces and enjoyed the gush of the water flowing. I have blogged about each one of our visits.

I am getting addicted to these trail maps 😀

The park is famous for its whitewater rafting. But I am not a person for adventure, nor is my husband. So we have never attempted whitewater rafting. Will I be doing that in the future? No way; I have no craze or adrenaline rush for the same.

These birds were really loud when they wanted to cross!
On the river bank, back to their home!

As I looked back into my photos, I found out we had been to Youngstown,Ohio, on too many occasions. In fact, I was there last month to chant the Bhagavad Gita in a temple there. I also noticed that we celebrated New Year’s Eve at the Youngstown Planetarium many years ago.

I think I am running out of energy to write about my travels and am just filling up with some pictures. But I am happy; I am doing it. I did not miss one single day, and I am ready to present the last letter Z tomorrow.

So for the A to Z Challenge,

Y is for Youghiogheny River Trail and Youngstown.

  1. Of course the birds were loud. They have to let every person and car around know they are coming.
