Valentine Week!

Valentine Week began last Saturday when my boys participated in a Cupid 5k Race. My younger one helped his brother to complete the race without me participating. I wrote all about it here.

Then the next day we had to drop my younger one off at his college and stumbled upon this trail and nature on the way. I told my husband this looks like a romantic spot and we both had some selfies taken. Later, I went online and saw that, summers, this place really has a lot of weddings happening. So I was right!

The sound of water is so calming and witnessing this in the middle of February is something not to be taken for granted.

Me and my boy worked on many Valentine activities. I did miss getting his friends cards but this one we made for his brother who helped him the previous weekend.

Then me and my husband were able to sneak out alone for a Valentine lunch. Usually the vegetable pakora appetizer is usually eaten by four of us, but that day we did not have any competitors and we just chatted as we finished off this plate. By the way no space in our tummies for the main course.

So dessert was at a later day at Starbucks. Godiva Chocolate cake tasted so good but we needed to walk it off since at our age heartburns are frequent.

Our Community Recreation Center hosted heart awareness campaign on Valentine’s Day. I felt this was really good. The only problem being, they did have a lot of candies along with the good stuff. By the way I was busy with my boy (who was enjoying the healthy snack buffet) that I did not read any of the stuff.

The week is ending off with a snowstorm. Oh, we have got used to the good weather but nature is so beautiful if you are sitting at home and not driving. So a Friday night and Saturday morning storm I am all for it.

This was a very busy week and it came to an end with me buying a gift for a baby girl for a naming ceremony. I usually just get gift cards but when I see a new born girl, I get a dress. Ha, I do not have a girl and I do need to shop something pink and violet. Shopping for girls is so much fun than boys.

  4. That trail looks like a beautiful place to walk. Those hearts are amazing & looks like a lot of hard work & fun went into making them. I think I would enjoy a piece of that pie too.
