A drive

Last Sunday, the temperatures soar to 50 degrees. We did not complain. Me and my husband decided to make a drive to Maryland with my special boy. Now we needed to go to a destination and we just picked up a Hindu Temple as a point of destination. Yes, we love to pray to God, but my special one loves food more than our love for God. A temple canteen is usually healthy, cheap and good food.

The return drive was through the city of Hagerstown. We knew a couple of trails near that area, but my younger one sent us a link saying it was a cultural trail. So our curiosity took the better of us but we were so disappointed that we were in the middle of some work zone and a trail nowhere to be seen. We decided to park our car (free parking Sunday) and we explored downtown Hagerstown and our two mile walk found pieces of cultural trail in between all the construction work.

Most of the buildings were old and some had a board saying not safe!

My special boy was so thrilled that we had parked our car in front of a pizza shop and the pretzel dough pizza was yummy. He deserved that after his two mile walk.

I love broccoli topped pizza

I would give my boy an A plus for the trip since he was so quiet and good. He spent nearly two hours in the temple and was not cranky, me on the other hand was getting nervous since he was being so obedient and my husband said I got a C. But I should not be blamed. My coffee for that day was not so good. I was really running low on caffeine that day!

Other than the trip the week was busy with regular activities, but we found we had a free soup at Panera bread. So I decided to try their autumn squash. It was tasty. It is seasonal, so if you are in and if you do have a sweet tooth please try this one.

I also found other than hump day, Wednesday, I can blog almost everyday at night. After blogging all morning in January, I finally found the perfect time. It gives me the entire day to think as what to write or which prompt to use. I am getting myself into a schedule and I think that is good for me.

  7. I do love a good road trip and we have one pending for next month or early April to meet our new and first grandchild.
Prepping for a road trip – I don’t really enjoy. Packing has become more of an unpleasant chore.
