I checked my February calendar on my phone. Valentine’s day is a Wednesday but Chinese New Year just the Saturday before it and President’s Day the Monday following it. Anyhow lanterns and dragons do not mean so much for me. I just need a dozen roses and a box of candies. (By the way no one has the day off in my family for President’s Day)!

I came outside checked the sky next. It was a clear night and the stars made me think. Have they aligned? I get gifts for my birthday. Will I get something more than roses for Valentine’s Day? I am not a chocolate or candy person. Maybe a box full of Indian sweets would be a great surprise.

Then I googled the horoscope for the Month of February and checked under my Zodiac Sign. It didn’t mention anything special! Maybe not many in the world are going to get any gifts. These horoscopes just state general facts. Yet, many are addicted to it. 

Maybe I will surprise my better half with a gift and make this year’s Valentine’s Day Celebrations different.

Back to my computer to search for a gift suitable for him. But an after thought, not spending and keeping the credit card balance low is what my better half loves. So that would be my gift. Not buying anything would be a great gift too. 

Anyway last weekend I visited a Dollar Tree and I saw more Easter stuff than Valentine stuff. It felt like spring and not winter. The stores do move really fast.
