It is hard to believe 8.33% of 2024 is over. For people like me, January is the hardest since the weather is cold, dry and depressing. We had two sunny days, lot of cold rain, a few inches of snow and an arctic cold blast. But Bloganuary really helped me get through the month. Every day at 7 am in the morning I was blogging for a prompt WordPress provided. Some prompts I liked, some I enjoyed, some I wanted to pass and some I wrote because I had to write. I was really punctual and wrote the same time everyday.
In fact writing a post everyday meant I overcame the challenge that I wrote on the first day of the year. That is taking care of myself without the feel of guilt.
One prompt asked what attraction close to home that I have not visited. I answered that the Titanic Exhibit was in town and I have not visited. So last weekend, we took up on the task of crossing it off our list.

We got tickets to the exhibit and on the way out we found out two of the ticket holders survived died. Even hundred years later, people can get goosebumps learning about it. A first class ticket costed nearly $50,000 and it was a luxury.

So what is up for February? Mr. Punxsutawney Phil suggested we have an early spring. Weather in my part of the world is also not so cold. It maybe global warming? But I do not care about it much. My special one is an outdoor person and I am really ready to take him out in the open everyday. I made 10,000 steps everyday. But we did not walk out much compared to December. So we will be out in the trails more in February. We will also be taking him on short drives and exposing more to the community just as we did last year.
We also disconnected our cable connection. We rarely watch any TV and are glued to some streaming shows. So after many many years, we do not have cable. We went cold turkey. Do not ask me why we did not do it all these years. We were in a contract with a big cable giant. We will be finding streaming channels to our need and will be adding it. But as a first step, I just got myself a Brit box subscription through Amazon Prime. It was a hectic week with my boy and even without canceling my cable I would have done this. I hope Poirot and Marple do not disappoint me. Or is it some other detective who is going to be engaging me? As a Barnaby fan from Midsomer Murders how am I going to move to a new detective?
By the way it is National Bubble Gum Day today. Me and my boy spent fifteen to twenty solid minutes coloring this Gumball Machine. I think they are nowhere to be found after the pandemic. But they will be hanging on our fridge for the next few days.

That is all for this week’s Weekend Coffee Share with Natalie.
