Around the Globe

What cities do you want to visit?

I am blessed and privileged to say I have traveled a lot! I have been around the globe and have changed flights in Frankfurt, London, Paris, Dubai, Tokyo and Singapore. But I haven’t done any sight seeing in any of the above! 😀

As I look at the prompt, I was thinking why not be positive and say in the future I may just pop out of the airport and go for a little sightseeing! Maybe just see the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Big Ben in London, Burj Khalifa in Dubai or ride the bullet train in Tokyo. When I was growing up traveling to Singapore was a status symbol. So maybe I will spend a day around the city! My prority would be Little India.

I am glass half full kind of gal and I do not cry too much over spilled milk. I pick up the pieces and move on. Being positive is not the same. You work towards a goal and try to achieve it.

Today it was my son’s program Christmas party. The crowd usually makes him hyper and we went only after lunch and for the bingo game! I take him to these activities for the atmosphere and for my boy to learn social skills and be in the community. As the game progressed my boy enjoyed the surrounding and that in itself was a victory. We weren’t anywhere close to winning a game. So when the last card was being played I had four lined up early and we just needed a number. I told my boy let’s be positive and win the game and held our fingers. Within a few numbers we won and I smiled myself that was “posiitivity”.

Okay, I am not going to book a flight to Las Vegas and gamble my money out with my boy! Oh, that is another airport we have been to but not toured the city😀. I understood what being positive means. We plan a day to the beach and we keep worrying it is going to rain is a negative thought. But getting up early and packing a yummy lunch and things for the beach even if it is cloudy is called positivity. The clouds may let up and we end up having a beautiful day!

I have traveled to most of US major cities and I have been to many of the metro cities in India too. So why not the rest of the world! It maybe in my future.

As a light snow fell, my boy carried his snowman prize to the car!

You have been fortunate to have traveled to many cities. Same here myself, but we always say it’s good to be back home. 🙂

    1. We don’t even feel like getting out of the airport and seeing them when we transitioning in an airport!

      1. Most countries need a visa to exit the airport. You must have an American passport to be able to go out of the airport.

  3. you can always buy a ticket with break journey and stop for a day or two. I mostly do it to avoid 16 to 22 hours journey from US to India.
