Food choices for Share Your World!

Here are this week’s questions:

1.  Would you rather bake or buy a cake?

I have written multiple times on my blog that I do not bake and I do not make any sweets. Baking requires measurements and so does Indian sweets. I am an eyeballing person and I think I do not have that patience. Yes, I just go and buy a cake!

2.  Do you have your main meal during the day or in the evening?

I cook in the mornings. Pre pandemic my lunch would be ready by 8.00 am and pandemic I started cooking at 11.00 am. With my son starting his program and he has to have lunch boxes 3 days a week, it is now back to 8.00 am. The other two days, I have still kept it at 11.00 am. My special boy helps me cook on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Thursdays, he makes the entire meal. So hot meals for lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Very rarely I cook my dinner and keep leftovers in the refrigerator.

3.  Do you have a sweet tooth or prefer savory food?

Oh! I am a foodie. Give me sweet or savory, I do not shy away from food. But I prefer spicy food.

4.  What is one food you absolutely detest?

I hate food that is bland! I have reduced a lot of weight the past few years and I have trying to maintain is hard. I have to live on salads and smoothies and I try to make these very interesting. Being a vegetarian is a plus point, but the oil and spices in our diet does not help us. I have to come up so many ideas to spice up my salads and decorate my smoothies. My salads are very spicy 😀!

Gratitude: The city in which my parents live was flooded this week but grateful that my parents managed by themselves and with help of friends. They really got a person to clean up their house after the water receded and he walked out of the house without asking for money. Thankful from the bottom of my heart for the good soul.

Praying for the many who are still suffering.

  1. Enjoy your food and make all your taste buds happy. Only thing is that your tummy should accept them. Once you become old tummy also correspondingly becomes old whereas your taste buds always remain young and energetic.

    1. Then you must love Indian green chillies! The spiciest of the lot! They are so tiny that they are the most tasty spicy ones.

I’m sorry to hear your parents got flooded. I’m happy someone helped them. Your parents are so nice. What do you use for your salads? Is salad your lunch?
