Some Fire Works!

All of November I wanted to write to prompts from other bloggers. I spent so much of my time searching and reading prompts that I missed on writing. Anyhow I have not been an utter failure in my quest, as I look back I did write on average two from other prompts and two from WordPress daily prompts. November still has a week left and let me see what I accomplish!

Last weekend was Diwali and a call back home, I was told that New Delhi has no fire crackers/fire works and that they are completely banned. Unlike that situation, on Diwali day last Sunday we were at a Temple in Maryland and saw individual fireworks being sold and people enjoying the same. Today evening we returned back from our Pittsburgh Temple fire works which is a fifteen minute show. I really loved fire works as a kid and my special one thoroughly enjoys the show. He has no issues with sound and the lights please him. There are people who say these fire works need to be banned completely and there are some who go out of the way to celebrate things polluting the air. I am all for moderation.

Is it all necessary? An arguement I don’t want to get into!

Anyway these are huge global problems. My life revolves around my family and my son specifically and he had a great doctor’s appointment. Some other major happenings of this week was my Dad had an angiogram and has no blocks (touch wood and yay!) and my younger one came home for Thanksgiving break.

I have had so much food the past month, all the dieting I had been doing the past two years went off the wagon. So, we as a family have registered for YMCA’s Turkey Trot. A great cause to donate and to get back on to the exercise wagon. It is going to be subzero that day during the race and if we are successful in completing that race without getting a frost bite, will blog about it on Black Friday.

That is all for Natalie Weekend Coffee share. I have missed on reading other coffee shares and I hope I can do this weekend at least. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Tally me with those who stand up to keep fireworks. The world needs them (they make almost everyone smile and ooo and ahhh).
I also refuse to argue with most complainers. Getting any of them to even consider that they might be wrong is a huge waste of time. They seem to be motivated by having an audience more than being informed or correct.
I say “Sparklers on stunning – go!”
