I have lived in two countries. I have lived in a women’s hostel run by Nuns, lived in 3 cities in the US and a major city in India.

I complained about my hostel life and the attitude of the nuns to my parents. Try answering to Mother Superior when you enter the gates after 6 pm. But looking back I did enjoy it! Sneaking out to see a movie or eating out when the hostel mess food was not good are the experiences that I cannot live again!

I grew in a very strict orthodox Hindu brahmin household! I was so angry with my Grandmother all the time. She was so strict in so many ways and I wanted to do so many things against her! Yet, looking back it was all the lessons for life I learnt!

Then me and my husband lived in an apartment near a beach in the same city as my parents after marriage. Horrible neighbor! I really hated it there. If it was today, me and my husband would have walked to the beach every day instead of complaining about neighbors!

I have lived in 3 US cities, one being a major hub and it was was cold and snowy, one was rainy and the current one hilly. I have lived in rental apartments, own townhouse, a one room bachelor apartment and now my own independent house! Each had his positive and negative feature.

But as I look back and reflect if we keep looking at the negative things they are just going to outshine the good positives of the place.

Anyhow we have settled in a house that is a comfort for my special boy! Is it forever? That I do not know! But I am not going to complain. Going to enjoy until we need to move out of here! I remember the time, we moved out of the townhouse to this current house in a different city. I told everyone we outgrew the house and the house kicked us out 😃! So until then going to live in my current place with all joy!
