Our house painting project got over yesterday. Literally I had tears in my house seeing how to came out. But I would say, “We did it.” Me, my husband and my special boy had to work a lot physically and mentally. I sincerely thank the painter (single person) who came and painted the entire house. I do not know if they charged extra for handling my boy, but he kept smiling and painted as my boy moved his things as a part of his craziness. Let me tell you, not only my boy, we as home owners were also crazy sometimes with our demands and he handled all of us well.

I wrote about our shoe rack, and it is still out there holding 3 pairs of shoes and I have two boxes of wall hangings that I took out of the wall which I do not think is going to go back on the walls. What I am going to do, I have no clue. Okay, these I would call my shoe rack. It is for sure going to collect some dust, which I am allergic to. So, I have some executive decisions to make. Letting go of stuff is not easy.
Now that this is done, I have a week before I put on my Navaratri Golu and send out the invites. Me and my boy are working on making some stuffed animals. I hated sewing and this is not a project I would have taken if not for my boy. But with little help, my boy is making running stitches, stuffing them with cotton and sticking an eye or two to the animals. Threading the needle is not easy for the kid, since he is not a visual person. But Kudos to him, he has learnt that. Does that mean, we are going to buy a sewing machine and stitch stuff, no we are not. This is just an eye hand coordination activity and should translate to helping him when he does cooking.

I still do not have a theme, but just some ideas for this year’s Golu. I have more variables than constants. I have to wait and see how it all unwraps.
Fall is here officially and I also need to bring a few pots inside. There are not many, yet these plants have survived some winters and I hope they would survive this year too.
