Finally September is almost over! It was a month that kept throwing things at me that I thought would make me crazy.
It is International Coffee Day today, me and my boy had free Dunkin Donuts coffee at his program. As a coffee drinking family I was more than happy that I finished off September with a free cup of coffee.

I accomplished a few things with my son as he cooked all this month and he also participated in his first Special Olympics event. Both were something I have been trying for a long time, but it was put into action. But his music practice took a hit. Usually when you do multiple things you end up sacrificing something. Finding a balance in things is hard, anyhow will catch up on it soon.

One week of painting finished in our house. First time in my life I am sitting in a room that has a wall painted according to my color taste. It took half a century for that to happen. I am happy it happened at least now. I am not a person who spends a lot but I do not talk about minimalist life style. I will be redecorating my house and my husband has given me free hand! So I may purchase some new stuff or just move things around. Whatever makes my mood go up, I will try to do.

After many many years I watched a Hindi movie. I learnt Hindi as third language in school but it was tough following the dialogues, I had to follow the captions closely. I was surprised my boy loved it since he didn’t ask me to change the channels. A long movie but we watched in three 45 minute sessions while he worked on his exercise bike. The songs, the costumes and grandiose setting really helped with my mood.
I had to do multiple things this month to keep myself motivated. It was not easy. It was one step forward and two step backwards month but somehow I managed to climb three steps somedays and finishing off the month successfully.😊
Ha, one more thing, we have a huge infestation of lantern flies. Looks cute, doesn’t stimg like a bee but if you are sitting in park ,the crowds of them are a nuisance. It seems they are here to stay😀! Yes, the eggs they lay will survive winter. Have to wait and see.

Thanks to Natalie for Weekend Coffee Share.
