Remembering

What could you do more of?

Yesterday we went to the grocery store to specifically pick up salt. My husband said why not pick up some groceries too. Okay, just before we left I saw a video about a doctor talking about the goodness of avocado for pre menopausal women. So I picked a few. Then some green stuff and we moved on to bread. We discussed how we loved the white one and had to settle for the multigrain one that tasted like sand. My boy had his own list and was searching for his ice cream.

I came home and started boiling milk for my home made yogurt. I was so tired that I completely forgot about the milk behind me in the kitchen and was immersed in a show. I then started smelling some burnt smell and the realized I had milk on the stove. Okay. that went to the chain of thoughts, that I forgot to buy salt. In fact I had no salt in the house. Getting up early in the morning and going to a grocery store is not something everyone wants to do but it had to be done today.

So, is it my memory failing because of age or me not being concentrated on a task. Maybe I have to put a bit of extra effort on a task that I am doing. It is okay to forget things. We unnecessarily store so many things in our brain and as we age, I think we do not have the storage for necessary ones๐Ÿ˜Š. So maybe that is what I should do more of.

  2. Menopause brain is real. I forget things far more frequently now, on the stove on several occasions as well. Sigh.
