It rained

A month of hot weather. The plants were sad. Their owner had been watering them from a watering can but they all wanted a shower from mother nature. With the smog it was much more difficult for them.

Usually they would get their blessings from Mother Nature at least once a week. But they could hear humans talking about climate change. They couldn’t understand a tiny bit and had their heads down. But it all changed one night. There was lightning and thunderstorms and more than an inch of rain showered on them. When humans closed their doors and slept scared of the lightning and thunderstorms the plants looked up in joy and started dancing.

The next day morning the zinnias had their first bloom. “We love our owner and his watering can but nothing can beat Mother Nature”, they said to each other.

  4. I adore zinnias. I’m convinced they’re indestructible, at least until it freezes outside.

    1. We do have couple of villians like the chipmunks and the rabbits and they finally survived them. Yes, they are safe from now on.😊
