Half Year Over!

Last day of June and it was a very busy month with a Graduation and vacation. But the last week of it has been toned down. The past few days my eyes have been burning s because of poor air quality created by Canadian fires. Anyhow I also need to get my eyes tested since I have been grabbing reading glasses from Walmart and not going to a regular doctor to get a prescription one. So that may also be the reason. July is going to be a month full of appointments. My doctor’s office also called and booked my mammogram in July. We Special Needs Moms forget about our appointments as we just go around booking our kids’ appointments. So I am glad that they called me.

All the activities were limited to indoors for me. So my boy spent a lot of time inside the gym, swimming pool and we also went to a movie. We have already seen Lyle Lyle Crocodile but since it was free we went again. Free movie does not mean everything is free. I had to spend money for the snacks. But my boy loves the theater ambience and is usually quiet for an hour minimum.

FINALLY Got it DONE

We also finished a 300 piece puzzle. My boy was not motivated at all. Then as two thirds of it were finished I told my special one we would get a cake if he finishes it off. I do not know what happened within 20 minutes the last 100 pieces were in place. We will not be doing anymore puzzles the next two months. It would be more of outdoor activities.

Due to one too many reasons we have limited plants in our vegetable patch. But the tomatoes are growing good and surprising us. Maybe they like all the space they got to themselves. Hopefully I would have an harvest in the next two weeks.

Happy July to All and Happy July 4th to all my American friends.

See you all again next week.

For Natalie’s Weekend Coffee Share.

  1. I’m glad you found something to motivate your son to finish the puzzle – motivating children can be hard, especially with special needs children sometimes.

  5. Can you believe we are halfway through the year already! I have a 1,000-piece puzzle I’ve been meaning to get to. I guess now is as good as time as any. Don’t forget the rest of your annual checkups, believe me they can be life savers!
