Dan’s new next door neighbors were so loud and noisy that he could neither work nor sleep, so he decided that he needed to take action.
This was too much noise, with kids running around during the day time and a loud crying baby at night. He thought he would warn them before making a complaint to the apartment management. He stepped out of his apartment and took a few stops and knocked on his neighbor’s door. All of a sudden he was shocked to see his older brother holding a kid. His long lost brother who had fought with his parents and left the house just after High School. Fifteen years later here he was with a family and kids.
Dan hugged his brother with joy and made a video call to his parents so they could see their grandchildren. What he thought was a nuisance was now a celebration and the noise just music for his ears.
Written for Fandango’s Story Starter #100

t’s time for my weekly Story Starter prompt. Here’s how it works. Every Tuesday morning (my time), I’m going to give you a “teaser” sentence or sentence fragment and your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to build a story (prose or poetry) around that sentence/fragment. It doesn’t have to be the first sentence in your story, and you don’t even have to use it in your post at all if you don’t want to. The purpose of the teaser is simply to spark your imagination and to get your storytelling juices flowing.
This week’s Story Starter teaser is:
Dan’s new next door neighbors were so loud and noisy that he could neither work nor sleep, so he decided that he needed to take action.
