An appointment, for Fandango’s FFC #208

For Fandango’s Flash Fiction Challenge #208

Now hosted by Paula.

Welcome! I am temporarily hosting the FFFC while Fandango recuperates. Please join me in sending good vibes to Fandango with the hope that he’ll be back in top blogging form ASAP. In the meantime, I will be posting a photo I grab off the internet and challenging bloggers to write a flash fiction piece or a poem inspired by the photo. There are no style or word limits.

This week’s photo is credited to kaboompics on Pixabay. It depicts an open appointment book/ organizer on a table. Pink flowers in a vase and a glass candy jar are also visible.

Smitha looked at the carnations and the planner. Just how the flowers and candies were bright her planner pages were bright and was filled up with her bookings. Her event planning business had really taken off. She changed flowers frequently as a way to encourage herself and the yummy candies were a treat for a hard day of work.

What started as a hobby was now a full time job for her. She also was employing few more people and was proud of her achievement. She was truly grateful that she could turn her passion into a business and not everyone is lucky in that way. She then wrote in bright purple color on March 8th, “SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS RECOGNITION AWARDS”, closed her planner and opened her favorite online website, to shop for an outfit for the event.

  1. Very inspiring.
I love carnations. They were my grandmother’s favourites – she called them “pinks.”

    1. I had never seen carnations in India. So when I came here I thought they were roses. They are cheaper than roses but gives the same happiness.😊
