It was her birthday tomorrow. It was the first time she was going to celebrate without her parents and in her newly married joint family home. He knew there would not be a celebration like she used to have while she was at her parents. He could hear a song from the latest movie Bobby on the radio and saw her retiring to bed after a long day. He waited until the clock stuck 12 at midnight and gently placed on her hand glass bangles and wished her in a soft voice “Happy Birthday”.
