Yesterday I wrote a post about a sport called pickleball. The past two days I have been debating about buying the same.

I keep recalling a meme, about parents investing money in a hobby for their kids and the kids loosing interest in the same after few weeks!

As a mature grown adult I really do not want to invest or impulse buy something that I may not use. I would definitely be teased by my husband if I am not using it.

At the same time, what if this is the one sport that I have a chance? I asked my mom today if she remembered me playing any sport at all while growing up! Nope, she didn’t remember anything! Other than my compulsory PT time in school I haven’t done anything at all. I ended up having two boys and all my adult life I have spent time and money for their sports! Even yesterday I was picking up a runaway basketball for my special young man. I have spent hours in traffic for my second kid for his swim lessons and triathlon meets.

Isn’t it time for me to pursue something out of my comfort zone!

The excuse I gave not ordering one is the weather is still unpredictable! I will order once the weather turns nice! I am still in PT for my knee, hopefully the stars would align and I may get that pickleball set. I may start playing and maybe in the process enjoy it too!

Only time can tell!
