Where can you reduce clutter in your life?
Okay literally I am going to declutter this weekend.
Just keep some garbage bags handy and without having second thoughts going to roam around the house picking up things.
I can have two or three bags categorized as recycling/trash and charity and move myself around the house.
You get a few steps, the body moves and the place gets clean.
The problem shows up when something looks as if it is needed and saving it is necessary. Executive decisions need to be made. I just need to imagine myself as an authoritarian in those circumstances. I have more control than those non living objects and keep telling myself they collect dust!
Playing sweet music and burning up a few scented candles and making the house a home before the start of the process may help to kickstart the process and keep us in task.
Should I start Friday evening or Saturday evening? Beginning as early as possible helps to keep the things going. So yes, I will start Friday evening.
I have a binge show all set on my Britbox. I would treat that new season of “Shetland” as a reward to myself if I complete my task.
Fridays are my busy days. My son’s calendar is full that day. Hopefully it is smooth and not overwhelming. Keeping fingers crossed.
