Doing things differently!

What could you do differently?

The mental and physical endurance needed to raise a “special one” is huge. I stumbled upon another parent who narrated her experience. I told her “been there” and yes had reacted like her. Yes, people around us keep pushing our buttons.

Yes, years and years of managing a child I have come a long way. Yes, I could have done certain things differently or reacted to it differently but I hope and keep my fingers crossed I would react differently.

Mental endurance is very important in this journey.

  3. This is a deeply honest and courageous reflection. Your words carry the quiet strength of lived experience—the kind that only comes from years of patience, resilience, and love. Acknowledging that you might have reacted differently, while still honoring how far you’ve come, shows compassion toward both your past and present self. Your emphasis on mental endurance is powerful and necessary, and your openness will surely resonate with and comfort other parents walking a similar path. Thank you for sharing this with such sincerity and heart. 🌱💛
