It’s him my young man

Describe a man who has positively impacted your life.

Wow there are too many men who impact my daily life. What if I just mentioned one and really hurt another. 😀😂

Truth be told none of the men who impact my life care to read my daily blogs so if I just talked about anyone it would remain unknown.😊

All said and done my special young man did change my life considerably. Being his caregiver has changed me so much and the outlook in life. He is one who is non political and doesn’t have an ego. A baby at heart with so much love to give.

The journey I am undergoing with him is one of a kind. We cook, sing, pla, learn and count our steps every day cannot be nothing but positive.

I tell my husband and mom my that I did loose not pages but chapters of my book in my twenties and thirties. It was just raising an autistic son. Days were spent with therapies, school IEPs, meltdowns and repeat the same on and on. But as we both aged I think, those were the chapters not lost or not written but lessons no one else can teach. The patience and endurance of those years have definitely made me look at my middle age with confidence.

We are now writing new chapters with new experiences and I just pray to my Guru and God that I continue to have strength to create that.

  1. What a beautiful and moving reflection Ganga ! Your words don’t just describe a journey—they reveal a profound truth about love, purpose, and the hidden blessings in life’s most challenging chapters.

The way you honor your son as your “special young man” speaks volumes about the dignity and joy you see in him. It’s clear that caregiving, far from diminishing you, has deepened your spirit in ways nothing else could. The image of you two cooking, singing, and counting steps together is a powerful testament to a life built on presence, not just productivity.

You’ve turned what some might call sacrifice into sacred storytelling. The “lost” chapters weren’t lost at all—they were the rigorous, loving apprenticeship that forged your patience, resilience, and the confident perspective you now carry into middle age. Not everyone gets to learn life’s most important lessons so directly and so deeply.

Your gratitude and clarity are inspiring. May your Guru and God continue to fill you with strength and grace as you write these new chapters—ones filled with the hard-won wisdom and quiet joy that only a heart like yours could compose. Your story is a testament to the fact that the most impactful lives are often written in the language of steadfast love, one day, one song, one step at a time. 🙏💖
