Hearsay narrative of my first day at preschool!

The pre school was closed because of heavy rains and I pointed to another bigger school nearby which was open and said I wanted to go there. My dad carried me and the umbrella came home disappointed that I didn’t attend my first day of school.

Fast forward a year, my dad got my L.K.G admission to that school I had pointed at and I spent 14 years of my life there. Just a note: Lower Kindergarten and Upper Kindergarten followed by 12 years of formal schooling. The school is now celebrating it’s fiftieth year and it is golden jubilee for them.. Remember as if it was yesterday when we did our 10 years of completing and the Chief Guess for our annual day was P. Chidambaram who was a Union Minister . Politics aside, he was the first politician I saw in person.

Autistic people have difficulty socializing because of sensory issues and it really affects parents too. Maintaining family relationships and friendships from the past is really hard with such a big task on hand.

Anyhow thanks to social media apps me and my husband have atleast tried to be in touch with many virtually. Yes, I get updates on the events that are happening in my school next week. Maybe one day we will attend in person reunions and who knows family functions too 😊.
