What are you most proud of in your life?
Today morning I was in a rush and was running around the kitchen. I had a big bottle of turmeric and while moving towards the stove my leg hit the open dishwasher but with all my might I saved myself from falling down. I was multitasking so many things and at that point I knew I had to pause and take a break. What if I hadn’t saved myself ? The bottle could have fallen down and broken or I would have even hit myself on the open flame stove. Anyhow nothing of that sort happened.
Pride does lead us to ego and ego can lead us to downfall. Maybe I was too proud that I was able to make a Diwali breakfast today morning that I just overdid myself a bit. Loading a dishwasher and cooking lunch at the same time? Whatever it is I was able to balance and find my calm.
Everyone has many proudful moments just need to be careful that it doesn’t lead to our ego being boasted.
By the way as I wrote in my previous blogs I didn’t make any sweets or savouries. I just bought all of them online. I made idlis and plantain potato bajjis served with chutney and sambhar. A tradition in our house for the past 25 plus years for a chilly Deepavali morning.
