Pasta dinner and a 5k

How do you relax?

Today morning was another early start to the day. We had to be at a 5k race for a charity event. Call us 5k junkies. Where there is a race, we will be present. Indian restaurants sponsored free food after this event so, double joy. Here is a link if you want to know more about the charity.

Yesterday we had Onam Sadya at our local temple. Should I call it the pasta dinner? Okay as a cross country mom, I have sponsored many butter and bread packets, this food didn’t come anywhere close to that but it did have rice and vegetables. Instead of that dirt cake, there was a jaggery, rice pudding or thengai paal payasam.

Anyway, I side tracked. I have not stepped into my kitchen for the past twenty four hours. I have relaxed 😎 myself!

Onam sadya or our pasta dinner?
Beautiful 5k route
The gazebo called us to take a break yet we didn’t
Half way point always feels like thr race is done
Until it is done

  1. What a lively and delightful account! 🌟

Your writing perfectly captures the energy, joy, and community spirit of participating in a charity 5K race. The way you describe being “5K junkies” adds humor and personality, making your experience relatable and engaging. I especially love the touch of extra delight with the Indian restaurant sponsorship—it’s a wonderful detail that brings warmth and color to the narrative.
