Last week at a coffee shop, I saw some high schoolers ordering some fancy coffee. I never order anything other than a hot cup of small coffee, that by itself I consider it as a luxury.

When my younger one told me a coffee truck was coming to our pool today, I knew that they would be selling some fancy drinks, and I decided I should buy one. I do not buy expensive makeup (I do not buy make up at all) nor do I buy fancy shoes. So, I thought one time splurge on a fancy coffee would be good. My young man was excited as soon as he saw the coffee truck. He pointed to a drink on the chart, and it was a frozen hot chocolate. The funny thing was, he had made that in his program for free this Monday and today along with my fancy caramel infused iced coffee and the tips came to fifteen dollars (reading this my husband can have his bp shoot up).

I belong to Gen X generation, and I can safely say my husband is a boomer (behavior wise). We saved money for our home and retirement. The argument by Gen Z and the later kids is that saving on a coffee do not lead to saving for a house. So, they splurge on stuff. Anyhow my young man is Gen Z, and I just gave company for him.

So, what about our trail walk today? Thanks to a very good friend’s suggestion we hit a trail close to our home which we never knew about. For a very hot day (the coffee truck made a ton of money today), the trail was so cool. My men sweated and we made 1.79 miles.

See you all tomorrow on another blog and hopefully another trail. I have completed four days. I need to do 3 more days of trail, and it gets tricky since I see rain in the forecast. I also have regular activities all three days and adding a trail is going to be a bit tricky. Anyhow we are finding trails close to home so we should be able to make it.
