March Madness

I knew March was going to be a busy month and by end of February I had started preparing for the same. But March 1st I was so sick, emotionally it really drained me. I passed my bug to my family members which really put a dent on things.

But soon things started becoming better and everything I had planned worked out same. Just a note to self, one should not fight the sickness. Just need to take rest and let the body heal.

Blogging:

I knew I would not have enough time to do a detailed blog, so I decided to blog for the prompts provided by WordPress. In fact, I spent a few minutes every day to write for the same and kept the tempo going. Yes, whenever I found time, I added my own blog but those were far and few and rarely touched other prompts.

Travel:

Yes, I did blog about our trip to the Smoky Mountains! A wonderful trip that really boosted our confidence with regard to my young man.

Fitness:

We participated in Pittsburgh St Patricks Day 5k. Special Olympics paid for my son’s race and really grateful we got a discount for Pittsburgh Marathon races. But I have decided my boy would just be doing the mile walk. The race day is busy and crowded and I do not want to overwhelm him. He will also be doing in Special need’s category. We are hoping for him to improve his timing.

What else did we do?

Oh, it was the end of basketball season for my son and he has come a long way with patience and playing. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would be taking him out for these kind of competitive events.

Check out his perfect basket after waiting for his turn! Kudos to his dad for working with him that day!

I had to sacrifice my yoga class for a month, then realized the month had five Saturdays. Yes, finally attended the class. Yes, it is painful for my muscles but the brain gets a good blood flow!

Lot of my friends are celebrating Yugadi or New Year this weekend. Happy New Year to them!

Ending the month at Presque Isle State Park was the highlight of March. Erie did get dumped with a lot of snow. But it has all gone and we made a brisk walk on the trail! Yes, it was a bit cold and chilly but the two mile walk was refreshing!

Both my kids didn’t enjoy this pizza but me and my husband loved it! Real irony of the month😀!
