What were your parents doing at your age?
There was a video yesterday that showed how people in the eighties did not buy anything luxurious! The guy made a comparison of today’s prices and 80s and showed how cost of houses were much more affordable compared to that of today but luxurious items were not affordable! Yes prices of TV and computer are really down and more affordable now.
When I got my mom a fitbit watch she was super happy, yes for her generation getting a watch was considered a luxury! Meanwhile my younger one considers getting a watch as a cheap item! 😀
I remember the day my brother spent a fortune for a pair of jeans! My grandfather had a heart attack hearing the price! That was the time people in India wore trousers stitched by a tailor!
Anyhow lifestyle of our parents is not something we would be living! I don’t think it is something restricted to one family! The consumer market is changing the world 🌎 and it shows up in every household!
Meanwhile my mom was a grandmother when she was my age! I am not yet! 😀
