Happy Pongal to all my Tamil friends around the globe and Happy Makara Sankrati to all my other Indian friends.

It is Uttarayana Punya Kaalam or the time the sun starts His upward journey! Yes, days will start becoming longer in Northern Hemisphere.

It is a day of cooking for me and hopefully my boy would join me today. We would be making some Sarakarai Pongal, jaggery being the main ingredient. We would be taking jaggery out from it’s hiding place and making the same!
