Cabins

Do you have a favorite place you have visited? Where is it?

I have too many pictures on my phone. I want to make all the trips we took into albums. These albums can be made into Youtube videos and can be stored for private views. But I have been having time issues doing the same.

Surprise, surprise today morning my photo gave me something called a search prompt, Trips in 2024! Oh maybe this is AI reading my mind? I don’t care now. It just had pictures of our travel. All the trips we stayed overnight.

For my husband’s birthday this year, I booked a trip to West Virginia mountains. A cozy mountain cabin. I did it through Airbnb. It was a beautiful place, away from all the hustle of city life.

The interior was a house decorated, exactly something from a HGTV channel.

It had a cozy loft with two twin beds for my boys to be comfortable.

I could sit outside in the patio, drink coffee and enjoy the nature.

Okay, now I asked my husband if we should book one again next year. His answer was, a straight NO! The reason, the internet was very poor 🤣!

Anyway the kitchen was too beautiful for me to cook anything. We had packed everything for the weekend and I didn’t need to cook, yet, I didn’t want to make a mess in a kitchen that is so clean!

The boys in my house are not used to walking in a house filled with so many knick knacks. I had to keep telling them, walk slowly.

So for me, though it was a beautiful place, I was a bit nervous all the time.

But the traveler in me is still looking for a cozy mountain cabin for next summer. My son keeps telling me, until a bear visits us, the stay is not complete!

Every travel is unique! It is beautiful! We fight and argue during our drive with missed directions but once the trip is done, we forget all about it and start looking to plan another weekend with our boy!

For my boy, the weekends away have been a great learning tool. By the way, he didn’t complain anything about the house, except he kept asking for Dairy Queen. Yes, this place didn’t have any chain restaurants near it.
