When the Celtics won the NBA championship this year my younger one ordered a Celtic sweatshirt for ninty dollars. I think this is what the prompt is asking. A personal item that is expensive!

So, I had to think really hard as to what I have purchased similar to the above. I used to buy jewelry when we started our family. I love gold jewelry. It is personal but it can be considered an asset for the family. So, I am going to just skip that. Anyhow with so much artificial jewelry coming out these days, I have lost interest in gold jewelry. Our family investment portfolio doesn’t include gold now😊!

Anyhow the dolls I collect for my Navaratri Golu are expensive. Yes, it is my personal interest that I have developed to expand my collection. This year, I ordered from India and got it shipped. Maybe I could say that!

A few years back, my husband ordered our dining table supposed to be Amish made and one of a kind. We did spend a bit more than other furniture in the house. But it is not personal. It was for our family use.

The more I think, once you have a family and kids, you start investing in THE family and personal spending starts becoming less.

How about spending six dollars on a slice of cheese cake with a cup of coffee? This is what is going on in my mind for today!
