New traditions

Yesterday, we attended a light music program organized by our Tamil Sangam. While driving back, me and my husband were talking how different the celebrations have changed. Yes, traditions and culture change as years pass.

This is the second year we have attended this program with our special boy. Thanks to a great friend, (who is more like family), we enjoyed from the beginning till end.

Deepavali in India is a holiday which starts early in the morning with an oil bath. Remembering those days with the local television channels havimg special programs and people getting glued to it. Now, for us the celebrations look a bit different but again it is gathering of people having fun. My boy loves routine and has OCD tendencies. I hope for his sake, this light music program tradition continues.

As I said, Halloween and Deepavali are on the same day and my posts this week would be a combo package of pumpkins, skeletons, candies and Indian sweets!
