Navaratri Day 5

Navaratri means nine nights. I had most of my guests this weekend so on day 5 I had more time on hand to check up on my golu today evening.

The temple Kumbhabhishekam or consecration ceremony was my new piece this year. For 1000 rupees I got the adjacent temple tank and trees from a vendor. My son learnt to make trees at his program and we painted those four trees using a bubble wrap. The background is the harvest festival pongal made with 300 pieces puzzle.

Batu caves has a tall Murugan statue in Malaysia. Something similar is there at Nadupalani. The most fun I had in India was buying dolls in front of the temple and this tiny Muruga was one.

This year, I was too smart. My son obsesses a lot with lights. As I started making the arrangement I saw to it, he would be able to switch on or switch off the lights as he wishes without disturbing the entire set up. I think my aunt who is visiting me is having so much fun watching him doing this act than the doll display itself! By the way, we do have too many lights in that room😃!

Golu in an autistic household is always interesting 😃😃😃!

Thanks to everyone who have been following my Navaratri blog every day🙏.
