My special one turns 27 this weekend. Happy Birthday to my boy. Even before his birthday on Sunday, thanks to you all, my blog reached 50,000 views. My younger one, with love and affection, ordered two pieces of cake. The cake pieces were expensive. But he is the next generation, and that is how they show their love and affection.

I have been writing about “My stories from Holland.” https://specialmomsblog.mom/2024/08/02/perseverance/

Patience is the tulip I found on this journey. Yes, I am finishing off “my stories from Holland.” The journey is hard and long. It is like the walks we took this week on different trails. Not a brisk one, but a slow one enjoying nature.

I have always referred to the autism journey as a marathon and not a sprint. But as I finish the blog, I feel it should be a walk on a hiking trail with all the obstacles. A journey that needs to be taken slowly. Enjoy the views. Take breaks when tired, and celebrate the accomplishments. Maybe I did not detour and land in Holland but in a forest with a lot of hiking trails.
