Expressing my gratitude

How do you express your gratitude?

As a mother to a special needs child, or should I say an adult, I have so many circumstances in my life that gives me an opportunity to express my gratitude.

The weekend West Virginia trip ended with a visit to coal mine exhibit. When we checked into the counter, they gave my boy a special discount. The lady at the counter told us we had an hour’s wait and directed us to a youth museum nearby which was free. She told my boy could spend the time with some hands on activity. I think that was very smart of her.

When we went to board our wagon for the coal mine tour I was surprised people already knew they had a special person for the trip. We were asked how my boy was doing and saw to it we were comfortable.

I should say a special thanks to the guide who took us on our tour. Every stop he made, he came to me and asked if my son was comfortable with the sound. When he had to switch off the lights, he specifically asked if my boy was fine.

Two weeks from now, we travel to Chicago. I would be fulfilling my goal of chanting Guru Gita in front of my Guru. I should thank my husband who sat with me patiently every day the past month correcting me and helping me with my memorization. I also need to thank my special boy. He patiently listened to me when I practiced. Oh when I did Bhagavad Gita, he listened so much that I know he has memorized the whole thing😊.

Yes, when you achieve something in life, you are not alone, a whole team is behind you picking up on your things.

I just wrote a few situations in my life the past few weeks.

Is Thank you by a single word sufficient for situations like this? I think, if expressed from your heart, it reaches the person who has done it.
