As a Mom I wear one too many hats. I studied for a field, but I did not work in that field much.

More than quarter century ago, my son was diagnosed with autism. He has severe behavior issues and that is a struggle that we undergo every day. Therapits and teachers come and go, but I have been his behavior therapist for the past twenty five years. I have done this without any paperwork or collecting data. I do it on the go and my brain is filled up situations and the strategies I need to follow when I am in a crisis.

Today morning however I got myself certified. Yup, as a part of being my son’s aide I need to get myself trained or get myself certified. I attended officially an hour of training program for targeting behaviors. I will be getting paid for this hour’s training.

Attending these courses and training is good but those are completely different from real life situations. My work continues and I know it would continue until I die.

I completed the course and checked the prompt. I have spent less than five minutes writing this blog. I thought it was fate! 😊🤷‍♀️
